changing value of AjaxRadioList and odropdown with jquery and make them readonly or disabled

I am using @(Html.Awe().AjaxRadioList("ItemId").Odropdown().Url(Url.Action("GetItems","Item"))) I am retrieving some data from controller and wanna assign/change value for 'ItemId' by using jquery according to new data, but no luck!! I've tried $("#ItemId").parent().find("input[type='radio'] [name='ItemId'] [value=" + data.ItemId+"]").attr("checked", "checked"); Note: 'data' is variable which contains data coming from server. Also, how can I make it readonly after setting value for it so user cannot change value from dropdown when the value is set by jquery?

  for setting value in js see here: https://www.aspnetawesome.com/learn/mvc/General#Getting-and-setting-value to disable the control you can use: $('#id').data('api').enable(false); as shown here: https://demo.aspnetawesome.com/Disabled (toggle enable all button) --- for older versions that don't have this api you could use jquery to change the dom, examples for radiolist and odropdown: $("#ParentCategory").parent().find('input[type=radio]').attr('disabled','disabled'); // radio list $('#AllMealsOdropdown').parent().find('button').attr('disabled', 'disabled') // odropdown

  • I am using awesome version 4.9, and right now I can not migrate to newer, can you please tell me how can I disable that AjaxRadioList().Odropdown in version 4.9?
